Rejection may bring out insecurities but it should not be the ‘be all or end all’ in your search for love. Whether you have been dumped, your second date fell through or your crush turned down the idea of a date, rejection can make you feel upset, unloved and unwanted.
Many people face rejection in their life at one point or another hence, it is important to remember that you are not the only one. It may not be easy to deal with rejection but it is important that it is dealt in a manner that will help you move on as quickly as possible, avoiding you to dwell on what has occurred.
Acknowledge how you feel but at the same time you need to move on. If that means confiding in someone then do it. Sometimes talking about what has occurred may help you discover that it wasn’t really a big deal. Adopting healthy attitudes will help you with those unwanted feelings of rejection.
Staying busy will also help you keep your mind off what has occurred and slowly with time you will forget about it completely. Mingle with people, join a gym or do a few extra hours at work. Whatever you decide to do to keeping busy will allow your mind to be active on other aspects of your life.
Try not to take it personally as you are the only one that is suffering. Learning from it will make you a stronger person. Keeping positive is the best way to move on. What does not kill you makes you stronger. At the end of the day, they are missing out on having you in their life. Always remind yourself of all your great traits and amazing qualities that they will never get to know. Remember, there is someone better out there for you, so the quicker you move on, the quicker you will find your soul mate.
