When going on a holiday with your partner, we all want it to be perfect. We all want it to be one to remember especially if you do not get to do it as often as you would like. Below are a few tips to make your getaway romantic and make it one that will be remembered for a long time.

Turn your phone off. This is one of the biggest distractions of the 21st century. To avoid looking at social media and taking calls and emails from work while you are on holiday, turn it off or leave it at home.

Do the simple things that do not cost much. Watch the sunset together or have a picnic somewhere in the surroundings or simply hold hands. Romance should not have to cost much so try these little things, as it will most likely make you and your partner reconnect on this getaway.

This is the year of the selfie, so make sure you take heaps with your partner. This allows you to be close to one another and allows you to make great memories of your holiday, which you can look back on years down the track.

Have a special evening on your getaway by having a candlelight dinner. Make it romantic by sharing a bottle of bubbly and enjoy dishes that entail sharing, such as beautiful platters of antipasto and seafood.

Why not book in for a couples massage. If your hotel doesn’t offer this, ask the reception if they can recommend something for you to enjoy as a couple. This will not only be relaxing for the both of you, but it will also allow you to both rejuvenate from the stress of your everyday life.

If you have a little extra cash lying around before your holiday, why not upgrade to the honeymoon suite. They usually have the best views, bottle of bubbly on arrival and a private spa for the both of you to enjoy. Nothing screams romantic more than this suite.

Spending quality time together just you and your partner will not only help your relationship grow but also get you to reconnect. Having romance in your relationship may be hard after having children or being together for many years. Take the time to organise a getaway and try a few of these tips - and you will definitely have a holiday to remember.
