This element of truth goes way beyond that song. Just because you've found a job, and then you find another related job that pays you $1 per hour more than the job you just took - would you take that higher paying job under these conditions? In many cases you probably won't. Why? You've put so much effort into getting the original job in the first place, that it may not be worth (even for an extra $40 per week, if both jobs are full-time) going through the whole process again. Of course this also depends on how risk averse you are too.

No different to love. Why do some people keep looking in the hope for someone better than the one they're with; with the one they've chosen to commit to when it comes to being in love with someone? It does not make any sense.

You're with your current partner for a reason, unless the relationship has to end. Then again relationships never fail, people just give up. When we have a relationship, we need to treat that relationship like TLC as we do with our family and with our jobs to name...otherwise that relationship will wither and die due to a lack of appreciation.

With soul mates, you're planting seeds. All this seed planting takes time and perseverance. Every seed you plant adds to your love bank account, and vice versa. This is the enriching way to live, rather than hunting again. In this busy world we live in, who (seriously) has time to keep hunting and hunting?

Loving the one you with involves planting seeds as deposits into the love bank account. Pulling out weeds is a withdrawal. Bear in mind that no one is perfect, and you lovely two have been attracted to each other for a reason.

If you're not happy in your current love based relationship, work out why that is, and then work on planting more seeds into that particular love bank account.
