To be honest, as a Beyoncé fan, I was a little disappointed with her Grammy performance.
Yes, her post-baby is amazing. She’s definitely still got it. But does she still got that love and respect for herself that she often gloats about?
Don’t get me wrong, her performance was not necessarily scandalous, but just a little surprising being her first come back performance as a mother. During pregnancy, Beyoncé was completely in touch with her natural side and seemed over joyed to become a mother. So what happens to our favourite celebs once that’s all over?
I get the feeling. The pressure of looking good and bouncing back into shape abnormally fast just gets to them - no matter who they are. Perhaps it’s the pressure of maintaining their fame status which in turn affects their cash flow, or maybe the media gets inside their brain making them think they have to be even thinner and sexier than before they were a mother.
Just as one of Kim Kardashian’s first gig post-baby was one of her basically nude back side, showing off her toned again thighs and butt. Are these women forgetting the essence of becoming new mothers? Is there a lack of respect for themselves and their station as parents?
Would love to get your thoughts on this. Perhaps you too were a new mother who felt the need to bounce back quickly, or had an increasing urge to feel sexy again. What is the motivator behind these behaviours?
