How many of you have tried a dating site and gotten frustrated with the whole thing? You sign up and find it's not what you thought it was, or there are fees involved you didn't know about?
There's so many dating sites out there, I wouldn't even know where to begin. To rate them, I would have had to have tried them. But I haven't, so I'll just give you a low down on what they are about.
AMM - Adult Match Maker
Until recently I didn't even know people called it
AMM until a friend said that, and I was like what? Another friend said adult match maker, and I was like
oh right. He later claimed he doesn't use it. Sure. So anyway this site with the catch phrase
"life's too short to waste time on losers, meet a man now and have some fun" suggests it's to pick up and get laid. If you don't really agree or haven't seen the ad, the girl throws a man down on her bed and climbs on top.
Then there's blendr/grindr - too lazy to even add in the last e. These websites have been created for those who want a casual fling too.
Blendr for straight people and
Grindr for homosexuals. The website and app can also be a bit stalkerish, with the option to show people your location, and to find people within a few kilometres of where you are. This I guess is to find a quick pick up.
Oasis is an online dating site for fun or relationships. It also has the option to select
looking for friends. But no one is ever on there to make friends. Let's be honest. This ones free, and completely free I mean. It sounds like a good one to start off with.
Then there is
eHarmony. They claim to find you a more accurate match, that is because they ask more questions. They also say you are meeting the real person, but not necessarily. If I make up lies to all the questions, you're not really meeting the real me. As for price, I've heard they are a bit up there in price. But you can view all your matches for free. If you've thought about eHarmony before, maybe wait for their free communication weekend to come around again.
Good luck and happy dating!
