We all know it's important to nurture our relationships with others, and that our time on earth is limited. The most important relationship you will have in your entire life is with yourself. So it's important to practice self love and gratitude.
What is self love? Is it being up yourself and having people say things like "oh he loves himself?" No. It is all about loving yourself inside and out, and knowing that you're worthy. It's about showing others that you are happy with who you are.
It doesn't hurt sometimes to not like something and want to change to be the best you that you can be. If you check your weight on one of those sites that tell you your weight range, and you find that you're in the overweight category, and you want to be in the healthy weight category - well that's understandable. But it doesn't mean that you should loathe yourself. Love who you are now, and love who you want to be and work on that.
People have always made fun of my big nose, but I've come to love myself completely. That was the nose I was given, and I am ok with that. I could have gotten a nose job, but I don't need that.
Self gratitude is also something I believe we should all practice.
Do you wake up and thank your body for being able to handle an eight-hour shift at work? This might seem silly to you, but I am thankful for my eyes, because they give me the vision I need to see some of the most beautiful places on this earth. So what are you grateful for?
It's never too late to start practising self love and gratitude. And if you're still in the single category, I think this will really help you to have an awesome personality that will shine through and make you more appealing to a potential soulmate in a love based relationship.
