When it comes to dating advice, the same lines are used over and over again. Don't worry you will meet someone, it just takes time' or there's plenty more fish in the sea. My favourite would have to be "if you just stop looking you will find it." I find this one most amusing because then I can say "well I tried that when I lost my car keys, but it didn't work."
I know people are just trying to be helpful, but it gets a bit old after a while.

There's plenty more rebuttals I could add to these lines such as the one that you're just looking in the wrong place. Really? Where do you think I am looking? In a night club? Where should I look then? The gym? The supermarket? Because I've tried dating men I met in the supermarket or the gym and other of these right places, and it didn't work out. What about when someone says "it's okay you're still young, you have time." Why is it never yolo - you only live once. Get out there, keep looking, and if you find a few loose screws along the way - ditch them down the road, and maybe you will come across mr right.

So what really is good advice for someone single and still looking? The best thing to do is to point out their assets and tell them what they have going for them. Tell them they shouldn't feel like there is something wrong with them, and when it does happen, they will forget all about this alone time.

Finding someone is about as easy as finding one purple nail polish in a sales bin underneath 100 other colours. It's not always so simple just to go out and find a partner. And there is no mr perfect, but there can be mr right for right now. When you do find mr right for right now - embrace it, enjoy his company, and maybe mr right for right now will become mr right for as long you both shall live. Because we all know sometimes we do get happy endings.
