Just Like That I was in Love

Just like that I was in love. After two dates I knew he was the one.

Hang on a minute, has anyone ever heard a woman say this? Sure we grow a little attached after a few dates but we don't fall in love instantly. Some men think we do, and I'm here to tell you we don't.

First dates are all about learning more about each other and the lead up to that first kiss. But we're just out to have a good time and meet someone who could possibly be more than a friend in the future.

But not every girl starts making wedding plans after a couple of dates, so why do men always assume that we do? And why do they always have to put it so bluntly and try and smooth talk. Like for example- listen babe, you're a nice girl, you're funny and you're sweet, but I'm just not looking for a relationship right now, I just want to have some fun.

Ok? We do too. Sometimes. Despite what men think, some women are looking for a bit of fun too, and they don't always get emotionally attached.

Emotionally attached; That's another thing. Men always think women can't have a good time without getting emotionally attached. Some of us can't, but don't tar us all with the same brush.

If I've learned anything from previous dates, it's have fun, see where it goes and maybe don't discuss the serious stuff. At least not until you have been on a lot of dates.
