Loving In The Moment

Talking, connecting,
Here in the small hours,
Warmth from the flickering fire
Fills the room and my soul,
Safe and relaxed
Within your arms,
I dare to share my deepest thoughts
Both my dreams and fears.

Perhaps I should get some rest,
But a hundred thoughts,
Tumble around in my head,
And I don't want to sleep,
Because then I won't
Be conscious of the moment,
And this present time
Is just so special.
