Playing Hard to Get

Why do many of us play hard to get, even if we really like someone? I have never really understood why people make the search for love a game but many people do it.

Although it can be a turn on to some, it can also be a turn off or just plain confusing. People may get frustrated and move thinking that you are not interested but really you are just playing hard to get.

However, if it you play this game right, it works, as studies have indicated it can be the best method of attraction. People have their own motives as to why they do it, but the main reason is that many of us like things that demand our attention and concentration. Many are not interested in things that are easily obtained, so people feel that playing hard to get will get them more attention.

There is nothing wrong with playing hard to get, but if it is not done right there can be many implications. It is not good to act desperate, but making it clear that there are feelings of attraction towards another is a must. Ambiguity by playing hard to get can overshadow opportunities between two people, so make your intentions clear early on.
